Graceful. Open. Cross-Cultural. Rumi Bahar is a premium Pure Katan Atlas fabric, celebrated for its bright white open ground, flowing gold zari arabesque vine jaal, and Ottoman-inspired carnation and artichoke blooms in the finest Banarsi tradition. Sinuous gold stems curl freely across the white atlas ground, sprouting carnations, artichoke florals, and teardrop buds at every turn — a design vocabulary borrowed from Iznik tilework and Ottoman court textiles, woven here on a Banarsi loom.
Fabric Details:
- Type: Pure Katan Atlas
- Weave: Jamawar — flowing continuous arabesque vine jaal with Ottoman-style carnation blooms, artichoke floral heads, teardrop buds, and broad curved leaves in warm bright gold zari on a crisp white katan atlas ground
- Texture: Medium weight with fluid, relaxed drape and a smooth atlas surface; generous open white ground between vine motifs gives the fabric an airy, breathable quality — lighter in feel than total-coverage atlas fabrics despite the atlas base
- Design: Sinuous continuous gold zari arabesque vines with carnation blooms, artichoke-style floral heads, teardrop buds, and curved leaves flowing freely across a crisp open white katan atlas ground; moderate coverage with significant open ground
- Width: 42 Inches
- Special Feature: Dyeable
- Best For: Shirt for Eid, semi-formal, and festive occasions — the open ground, fluid drape, and airy botanical scale suit elegant day kurtas, refined festive shirts, and versatile formal coordinates across multiple occasions
Care Instructions:
Dry clean only. Store folded in a breathable muslin bag away from direct light to preserve the crispness of the white ground and the warmth of the gold zari.
